Q: What is Brownell Travel?
Generally, the sooner the better—especially for larger, “bucket-list” trips like African safaris, European multi-leg journeys, popular cruise sailings like Christmas market river cruises, etc. I generally recommend reaching out at least 12-18 months (or more) to begin planning trips like these to take advantage of the best rates and widest availability.
I can, of course, help you design your trip on a more condensed timeline. For journeys departing within 45 days, a $150 Rush Planning Fee applies to accommodate the expedited planning and coordination required to deliver the same exceptional level of service.
Q: How far out should we begin the planning process with you?
A: Yes, I can! Some trip packages include air, and I’m happy to manage those bookings for you. Air-only reservations are handled through Brownell Travel's dedicated Air Desk.
Ticketing and service fees vary depending on itinerary complexity, fare type, and airline requirements. We'll gladly provide an estimate before booking.

A: My fees go beyond simply booking your escape—they represent the time, research, and deep care poured into every itinerary. My fees allow me to give every client’s trip the attention it deserves, and personalized service throughout the entire planning process. My planning fees also unlock access to incredible travel partners across the globe, VIP perks, and peace of mind from knowing you have my support back home + in-country support via my network, wherever you travel.
